River Nuzzo is a photographer based in Missoula, MT. His work is a combination of digital and 35mm.
My subjects are a collection of the people and places I love, along with strangers and environments which I am just getting to know. My current work involves briefly inhabiting my subjects’ environments to look for moments of authenticity. My work is a celebration of hope, the beauty of stillness, and the sublime that can be found in everyday life.
My current photos are a departure from my previous work of capturing landscapes and pursuing street photography. This work is a venture into portrait photography, which includes an assortment of portrait series and self portraits. Utilizing 35mm film and cyanotype, I use a process which pushes my limits and combines an array of media. Cyanotype printing on watercolor paper gives me physical access to the manipulation of my work.
